AHMEDNAGAR, FEBRUARY 28, 2012: Health is Wealth. Wealth without health is hell. Wisdom on good health and contented wealth is heaven. Work for health is working for life. Following its mandate, BGVK takes its responsibility to empower people by caring for their health in Takli, twelve kilometres from Ahmednagar on the Jamkhed Road and Ukadgaon, sixteen kilometres from Nagar. The camp was conducted at Takli and Ukadgaon village in which forty women took part.
This is a Central Government Program in which BGVK is a nodal agency. The program took place in two consecutive villages on February 13-14 and 17 -18, 2012. The topic for the programme was MREGA and health awareness.
Shri. Sudhir Godbole, Education officer of Kendriya Shramik Shikshan Mandal, Pune gave awareness on MREGA, the short form for Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee scheme.
