BORIVALI, MARCH 17, 2012: The Fathers and brothers of Borivali Deanery went for their annual picnic at Boscowadi on March 15, 2012. In all they were thirty two in number.
The program began with the assembly of all the fathers and brothers at Immaculate Conception Church, Borivali (W) at 8: 45 am. A private bus which was arranged for the same left at 9:20 am. During the bus journey the Dean, Rev. Fr. Barthol Britto, welcomed everyone and thanked them for taking time out for this outing.
On reaching Boscowadi, Fr. Anthony Santarita, Rector of Bosco Boys Home and an in charge of Boscowadi welcomed each one of them. They started with tea and snacks. After which some of them went for a swim in the pool while the rest let go their stress by playing box cricket. An informal singsong session had everyone singing on the top of their voice in different languages. A spectacular display of a variety of starters had everyone making a bee line at the serving counter and licking their fingers if not their plates. Later they had a delicious lunch. Soon after lunch people rested while some strolled on the beach. After the tea and snacks, all left the place with a litany of thanks to the Salesians and the organizers.
Everybody was taken up and awe struck by the whole set up at Boscowadi. Many of the fathers were determined to bring various groups for an outing of their respective Parishes and Schools.
