"SM" AND "SMS" BRINGS LIFE AND JOY TO THE YOUNGSTERS AT WADALA

WADALA, MAY 30, 2012: Summer Smurfs and Super Masti Summer in the campus of Our Lady of Dolours had a common parlance known as "SM" and "SMS" respectively. The "SM" and "SMS" found its beginning on the April 23, 2012. There were forty seven children under the title of the "SM" and sixty six youngsters had registered themselves under the banner of the "SMS".

 

There were variety of programmes organised namely singing competition, dance competition, skit competition, outdoor events, indoor games, picnic etc. The animating nucleus did a fantastic job in giving the kids and the youngsters a time for enjoyment, learning and progress. The meticulous planning and the detailed execution of responsibilities added to the success of the whole monthly programme. Moreover it was a holistic approach wherein the intellectual, the pastoral, the spiritual, the social and emotional aspect was taken care off. Fr. Godfrey D'sa, Brs. Ajay Shelke and Romero D'souza were the main persons behind the scene. The dedicated band of twelve volunteers went out of their way to give their time, talent and energy for the actualization of the gigantic task.

A big word of thanks to the parishioners, who had been generous with their time and resources throughout the Summer Club. The summer club under the different titles was supported and aided completely by the members of the parish. The "SM" concluded with the grand camp fire witnessed by the parents and the campers. The Parish church intends to continue their support and direction to the youngsters of the parish by way of their regular meetings in the evening.
