SHELTER BOYS AT MAHAD CAMP

WADALA, JUNE 04, 2012: A historical camp at Mahad was attended by the shelter boy's form May 18- 29, 2012. Thirty eight young boys were accompanied by Fr. William Falcao, the then Rector along with two staffs and two coaches. The camp was filled with a lot sports and fun.

 

Mr. James D´Souza and Mr. Ibrahim Mulla, the expert coaches, with the help of the volunteers trained the boys well in the field of hockey and football. It was really amazing to see the boys with full energy and enthusiasm.

 

The ten day camp was a blessing for many children since they visited the historical sites namely Raigad Fort, Choudhar Tale, Jijamata Garden, Dr. Ambedkar Monument and Caves. They also had a chance to visit the Community Development work at Mangaon. Fr. Alex Carlos, SVD conducted a Yoga Session for the boys. This was a divine experience for all.

 

The sessions also included a lot of interaction and reflection which urged the boys to think about themselves and to connect with the world. Meditation brought about an inner healing in many.

 

The camp came to an end on May 29, 2012 bringing a lot of joy and happiness. Sincere thanks to Fr. Barthol Machado (Rector), Fr. Sunil Munis and Mr. Das who gave us full support in organising this camp.
