 STATUE OF SACRED HEART OF JESUS INSTALLED AT SAVEDI

SAVEDI, JUNE 18, 2012: June 15, 2012- the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus- holds a special place in the lives of the parishioners at Don Bosco, Savedi. The statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was installed in the church of Don Bosco Bhavan, Savedi - during the Eucharist by Fr. Manual Murzello, the Rector.


Fr. Murzello always desired to install the statue of Jesus in the church and his dream came to reality when he received the statue form Don Bosco, Yerwada. Since it was a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus it was but apt to install it on the feast day. All the parishioners were invited to take part in the installation ceremony during the evenings Eucharist. The boarders actively participated by decorating the place where the statue was kept and by singing and playing various instruments during the Eucharist. Fr. Murzello during his homily said that the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is more the feast of the intense, infinite, unconditional love of Jesus for us. He said that, "It is through his blessing and grace that today we have installed the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in this Church." 


After the Eucharist many spent time praying in front of the Statue. Some even lit candles expressing their devotion.
