INAUGURATION OF BUILDING MAINTENANCE PROGRAM- KURLA

KURLA, JUNE 21, 2012: The Plumbing Technician Course, a joint venture of St. Joseph's ITI and Godrej Construction was inaugurated on June 18, 2012 at 4pm in the Santino Mondini Hall at DBCL, Kurla. This first of several Building Maintenance Technician courses will benefit twenty five students who will use the state-of-the-art facilities at DBCL in a hundred hour program that will train them in hard skills as well as soft skills to be proficient plumbers.

 

The inauguration was graced by Mr. Pervez Gandhi, COO Godrej Construction, Fr Colbert da Silva, Executive Director DBCL, Mr. Amit Gupte, D G M – HR, Godrej Construction, Mr. Walter –Instructor for the course and Mr. Patil trainer. While Mr. Gandhi exhorted the students to derive as much value from this course, he also commended the institute on the modern facilities and skilled trainers that will be available to the students thus ensuring their industrial readiness.

 

Fr. Colbert the Executive Director of the institute while welcoming the guests emphasized the institute's commitment to quality training. He also hoped that the Plumbing course would kick start several other courses in the Building Maintenance Program that would enable several other youngsters to be skilled and become employable, thus adding to the collective wealth of the nation.
