SVP – REACH OUT TO THE POOR & NEEDY

AHMEDNAGAR JULY 25, 2012:  On July 22, 2012, the members of the Saint Vincent De Paul association (SVP) of St. Anne’s Church decided to cater to the needy students of the parish. Their motto was, “You have received freely; now give freely.” (Mt 10:8).  As one of their early projects of this year, under the guidance of Fr. Rolvin D’mello; they decided to help the needy students of the parish by giving them notebooks and pens.  The beauty of this venture was that the entire money required for this project was collected only from the members of this association itself.  This programme took place in the AV Hall at around 10.30 am; Frs. Rolvin & Michael were present for the same.  The students were delighted with what they received and  went back home grateful.  As it is rightly said charity begins at home; so the SVP decided to first start helping the needy of the parish and then venture outside to help others.
