A UNIQUE TEACHERS DAY
DON BOSCO NASIK: MAHARASHTRA SEPTEMBER 07, 2012 : Teacher’s day was celebrated in a different style at Don Bosco’s School Nasik, Maharashtra. The day started with a Prayer service during which the role of the teacher as mentioned in the different scriptures was read and explained. The students of the fifth to the tenth then presented skits dance and song to felicitate the teachers.
The X-factor was that the whole day was coordinated by the executive members of the P.T.A. assembly. They began the meticulous preparation way back and diligently practiced during the last few days. The students were able to feel very much at home as they had their parents themselves to guide them. The programme was rich with culture and tradition.
The students of the standard fifth presented ‘the different teachers student relationship’ in the Indian lore from, ‘Dronacharya and Eklavya, Sant Dyaneshwar, Shivaji Maharaj and Jijabai, to Sachin Tendulkar and Achrekar’. They highlighted the fact that all learning is through a teacher and a mentor. The ‘shloka’ which said that the teacher is God was then recited.
The eight standard students then put up a skit to show the importance of an all round development for the body.
The ninth standard students then danced to the Marathi number with a traditional lejim. Students also expressed their appreciation through the address and song.
Thus ended a wonderful day coordinated by the Parents for the ones who cared and dared their young wards.
