BISHOP THOMAS MACWAN VISITS CHRIST THE KING PARISH DAKOR
Cl. Anthony Patole
DAKOR, OCTOBER 10, 2012 : On October 9, at 7.30pm, Rt. Rev. Thomas Macwan made his pastoral visit to Christ the King Parish of Dakor. The community welcomed him with warm hearts.
On October 10, Rt. Rev. Macwan, celebrated the Holy Eucharist for the three religious communities along with the boarding boys and girls. During the Eucharist, the Bishop prayed for Sr. Pinky FMA as she was celebrating her gift of life. The well animated mass also made the faithful celebrate the birthday of Rev. Macwan in anticipation. In his homily he emphasized, St. Paul’s statement, “Christ is for all”; that Christ came to give his good news not only to specific Christian community but for all. Highlighting the Lord’s prayer in the day’s gospel, he made us to reflect the number of times we recite the ‘Our Father’ with meaning. He motivated the faithful present to enter the year of faith with zeal and love towards Christ by reliving our faith in our daily life.
Rt. Rev. Macwan went through the record books of the parish and was delighted about the pastoral work taking place in the parish. He also was taken up by the pastoral visits in the villages by the fathers and sisters. He congratulated the community for the initative of the new ventures in Dakor. He personally met the confreres of the community. He also visited the sisters communities (St. Ann’s of Luzern and FMA).
It seems he was more passionate by Don Bosco and his work towards youth.
