TECHNICAL ORIENTATION FOR YOUNG SEMINARIANS

BORIVALI-MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 08, 2012 :  A two day technical orientation programme in basics of Electricity and Plumbing was organized on 2-3 November, 2012 at St. Pius Seminary, Goregaon at the request of Fr. John D’cunha, the Co-ordinator.

Bosco Boys Home responded to the felt need of the second year Philosophy students numbering 15 in all.

Our instructor, Mr. Albert D’Abreau, together with Fr. Jeffery Fernandes, put together a package which was a happy mix of practicals and simplified theory which explained the working principles and operation of the different aggregates of the systems.

The brothers were very enthusiastic about the practicals and were quite content with the minimal theory which they needed to grasp the important aspects of safety and analytic fault finding.

They were ready for a longer programme but time constraints came in the way of further engagements.

The brothers appreciated the help provided and said this experience will help them in the future apostolate of regency and mission work.

Bosco Boys also made available a similar programme to philosophy students of Divyadaan, Nasik over three days.
