PLATINUM JUBILEE, CHILDREN’S DAY AND DIWALI DAY CELEBRATIONS AT JAITALA

JAITALA-NAGPUR, NOVEMBER 12, 2012:  November 09, has been carved in the history of Jaitala as a day of immense importance.  St. Joseph’s Vidyalaya Jaitala celebrated their Platinum Jubilee.  The chief guest was the Archbishop of Nagpur, Most Rev. Abraham Virtuthakulangara.

The lighting of the lamp, a prayer and the prayer dance, invoking the Lord’s blessings on all of us was just the right way to begin this platinum celebration.  A multitude of singers with their sweet voices trained by Sir Ravi Gulsuandare welcomed the audience. The felicitation of the guest and the releasing of the souvenir followed.  The colorful cultural dance by the students of the kindergarten and the primary impressed the entire audience.

The highlight of the programme was the message filled musical ‘Towards a Brighter Horizon’, well directed by Fr. Rixson Nigrel.  The dance steps flowed from the dancing shoes of Mrs. Aruna Regani.  All credit for the success of the function and for the high standard staged goes to Fr. Rixson, Mrs. Aruna Regani and the entire staff.  For the first time in the history of the institution was a musical staged.  The entire audience was all praises for the memorable show.  The volume of the applause expressed it all.

The children flocked to the school with great anticipation and enthusiasm on November 10 for the children’s day and the Diwali celebration.  The importance of light was stressed.  The prayer service invoking God’s blessing on all the children of the world and the entire nation set the celebration in motion.

The students had their taste buds satisfied with the delicious meal and were greatly thankful for the gifts given to them by the teachers.  They strolled home happily carrying the wishes of the management and the staff for a happy and prosperous Diwali.
