BETTER UNDERSTAND THE SOUND OF SILENCE
NASHIK, NOVEMBER 21, 2012: We are so often met with silence when you ask a child as to what he has just learnt from what the 
teacher has just said. This silence was explained by Frs. Ajoy Fernandes and Diego Nunes to the teachers of the vernacular medium municipal schools of the Zilla Parishad.
A seminar on Slow learners for the teachers of Zilla Parishad was held on the signs of learning disabilities as a slow learner, child 
suffering from ADHD or autism. The remedies for so diagnosed children were then explained. The teachers were thus enabled to recognize symptoms earlier and take the remedial for the same.
The seminar was held with the cooperation of the district education officer Mr. Upasne. He mentioned there is a lot of work in this field available in the library Language and was appreciative of the Salesian venture of making it available to the vernacular as well.
The teachers who attended this seminar were then to disseminate the information to the various schools in the district.
