CHAPEL FEAST, ADVENT CAROL AND RECOLLECTION

BHINGAR-AHMEDNAGAR, DECEMBER 14, 2012 : The New Parish Council members, Ashok Pandit and Agnes Patole celebrated the Feast 
of their zone “Mary Immaculate” in the Bura Nagar Village on December 08 and 09, 2012.
The people also began the yuletide season with the singing of Traditional Marathi carols in Simon & Agnes Patole’s home.
The chant of the Kristapurana also took place after the Gospel in place of the homily sung by Fr Nelson, Alphonsa and Victoria in duet format, with poetry and prose interlocked in the recitation.
The verses on the youthful demeanor and upbringing of Mary preceding her wedlock to Joseph was depicted, composed by Thomas Stephens 
from the Apocryphal gospels printed in Kristapurana Part II, Chapter 3, verse 73 to the end of it… a fitting preparation for Christmas.
During the 8 am Marathi Mass, the Vincentian Fathers from Kedgaon and their team began a half-day’s Advent Recollection for the parishioners of St John’s Bhingar with the lighting of the Second Advent candle.
The Tabor inspired recollection ended at noon. Sermons, testimonies, talks and finally personal confession marked the happenings of the day. Every one left spiritually prepared for the birth of Christ at Christmas.
