LAUNCH OUT INTO THE WORLD WITH FAITH AND LOVE BATCH 2013

NOEL GEORGE Student - Class X

NERUL-NAVIMUMBAI, FEBRUARY 08, 2013 :  A moment awaited by the students of class X for years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds had finally arrived!!  The `FAREWELL' - A day filled with sweet memories of the years spent in this magnificent institution.

The final adieu was organized by the students of class IX along with  the Don Bosco Senior Secondary School Management, on February 02, 2013. The students of class IX had decorated the Assembly Hall and had prepared a grand reception, befitting the well-dressed students of Class X. We felt like celebrities, indeed!!

The theme was based on Live News Reporting of the Farewell by Channel nine. The farewell began with the prayer service invoking The Lord's blessings for Class X and at the end of it the students sought blessings from Fr. Principal and Fr. Manager, Supervisors and the Staff of the school. The entertainment began just after the prayer service and the hosts did put a remarkable effort to make the special day even more special for us seniors. The News bulletin started with 'Weather Reporting' which focused on the current moods of the school. The News Correspondents interviewed some teachers and students of class X. Pankaj Sir, our Class teacher expressed his thoughts through a self-written poem which deeply touched the hearts of every student of class X.

After this, the students of class IX presented two foot-tapping dances by the 'Black Canvas' and the 'Flash Mob'. They also had a fantastic Live Rock Band - 'Systematic Chaos', with  Melton Soares (Class VII) as a guest drummer, to entertain the guests. The culmination of the program was 'HANSI KE FOONWAARE'- a comedy show which tickled the ribs of the audience present.

The School Management presented the students of class X with mementos. As a token of gratitude and appreciation the students of class X presented the school with a keyboard. Fr. Bonnie Borges, then delivered a motivational Speech which urged us to do our best and make our Alma Mater proud. Fr. Anthony Fonseca also urged the students to do their best and stressed the attitude of gratitude.

The entertainment session ended with a Vote of Thanks by the 'Creative Head'- Mrs. Joyce D'mello Fernandes (Class teacher of class IX). The students of class IX left with a heavy heart wishing all goodbyes and good luck.

The students of class X were then taken for a class photograph along with all the members of the staff. The students of class X presented handmade cards to all their subject teachers who have taught them for the past seven years. After this they proceeded for the lunch. The last few final moments were spent in a big circle chit-chatting and reminiscing the seven years of togetherness over a sumptuous lunch. Finally we all departed together to work towards our next big venture- 'The Board Exams'.
