LONAVLA-PUNE, FEBRUARY 08, 2013 :  The School and College of Don Bosco Lonavla put up an Opera titled, 'Hold My Hand' on January 30-31, 2013.

The musical extravaganza directed by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Lorenzo D'Souza was adapted to focus on social and environmental issues, depict the generational gap and emphasize the role of Don Bosco Institutions as an active ally in the Go Green movement.

'Hold My Hand' brought to the fore the creativity and talents of Five Hundred and Seventeen students who acted, danced and even helped in scripting this opera and giving it  a contemporary feel. The elaborate stage setup was festooned with brilliant light and sound which complemented the dance sequences so well that the audience were left enchanted.

The plot  for the musical involved four friends who wish to have a youth centre set up and run by their respective sons but are unable to do so due to some legal hassles. Ultimately with the help of their alma mater, Don Bosco School they are able to set up an Eco Farm which not only runs eco based projects but also trains youngsters become entrepreneurs and generate employment.

The audience in attendance praised the opera and congratulated the director and the entire cast for their excellent performance.
