BIS Correspondent
AHMEDNAGAR-MAHARASHTRA, FEBRUARY 12, 2013: On Saturday, February 09, 2013, the students of Sacred Heart Convent (SHC) School from Ahmednagar city were taken to one of the remotest village of Beed District by Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra.
The students of class Ninth wanted to have a rural experience. Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra took these children to a Village named Pimpal Gaon Ghat in Beed District. The students were taken to a village school. The SHC students had an interaction with the students from Fifth to Ninth standard. They took some games for the children of the school. They also shared their own experiences with the children.
At the end of the visit the students of SHC were very much touched by seeing the enthusiasm of the village children to study with the limited facilities provided to them by the government. The SHC students returned to their homes promising to do something for the upliftment of the rural children. They also promised the Ghat children that they would visit them frequently. This visit of the SHC students was very much appreciated by the staff and the principal of the school.
