WADALA-MUMBAI, AUGUST 16, 2013: Shelter Don Bosco, Wadala celebrated Family Day and Children's Birthday on 14th August 2013. 64 Shelter boys, 10 staff and 20 family members were present for the program.
The program began with an ice-breaker and a party game for the parents along with the Shelter boys, conducted by Fr. Roger (Rector). After the games the boys showed their talents through dances, songs and a skit. The Rector, Fr. Roger Jones then addressed the gathering. In his address he thanked all the family members for happily accepting the invitation and being present for the program. He communicated few things about Shelter and highlighted that everyone should be responsible towards their respective children. He also said that, we must care for each other and take precautions before anything major happens.
Fr. Jesu Robinson and Br. Sandeep Parmar surprised the gathering with their song "Ae zindagi tu hi bata". This song was specially dedicated to all the boys, as they celebrated their birthdays that very day. Towards the end of the program, the birthday cake was cut by all the boys and a gift hamper was given to them by Shelter Don Bosco, through their family members.
Two of the parents came forward and thanked the institution for taking care of their children. They also advised the boys to be good and get educated. They told them to grab the opportunities coming their way and fulfill all their dreams. Fr. Jesu Robinson, thanked all the family members, boys, staff and the management for making this day memorable one.
