ANDHERI-MUMBAI, AUGUST 17, 2013: The staff and boarders of Dominic Savio Andheri and Don Bosco Matunga celebrated the Marian Nite together at Andheri on 14th August 2013. The evening began with the lighting of the lamp and a short prayer service. Fr Godfrey D'Souza, the Rector of Dominic Savio welcomed the gathering for a fun-filled evening. He urged the boys to get to know each other and to enjoy themselves. The Assistants Br. Michael Gaikwad and Br. Clarence Martis then took over with the organization of very informative Marian games for the boys.
The boys participated whole heartedly and fought hard to get the answers right so that their team could win. Mr. Sumeet a benefactor and past pupil spoke to the boys about how to be successful in life by working not only hard but also working smart. He appealed to them to take their education seriously in order to reap rich fruits in the future. Fr Wilfred D'Souza, the Rector of Matunga thanked the staff of Dominic Savio, Andheri for their hospitality.
He urged the boys to continue growing in their devotion to Mary. 'Have devotion to Mary and you will see what miracles are' was the catch-phrase he left them. Frs. Godfrey, Fr. Crispino, Fr. Wilfred and Mr. Sumeet then knighted the winning team – Banneux. With this the festivities of the Marian Month came to a close with the boys well prepared to celebrate the solemnity of Mary's Assumption.
