NERUL-MUMBAI, OCTOBER 21, 2013: Rev Fr. Godfrey D'Souza, the newly appointed Provincial of the Mumbai Province, visited Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul on 17th October 2013. A program was organized to welcome and congratulate the Provincial.

The Program began with a prayer and the school anthem. The Provincial was welcomed by the manager, Rev. Fr. Bonnie Borges. He was then introduced to the staff members and the students.  After the felicitation, the students presented traditional Indian dances. The song 'Walk on the water' sung by students of Class IX had a special message for the Provincial, wishing him success as he takes the first step as leader and animator of the Mumbai Province. The sounds of live orchestral music then filled the school auditorium as the students played their instruments to produce soul stirring music.

At the end of the program, Rev Fr. Godfrey D'Souza addressed the gathering where he first congratulated the students for their discipline and keeping the school premises clean. His inspiring message to the students -'Challenges are what makes life interesting, but overcoming them are what makes life meaningful' left a deep impression on them. The teachers also took home a special message that while they educate the mind of the youth they should not forget to educate the heart. Rev. Fr. Godfrey then thanked everyone for the warm welcome and for making his visit a memorable one.

The Principal Rev. Fr. Anthony proposed the vote of thanks, thanking Rev. Fr. Godfrey for sparing valuable time from his busy schedule and visiting the school. On behalf of the staff and students he wished Fr. Godfrey success and assured him prayers for his work and ministry.
