BIS # 3734 SPREADING SCIENTIFIC AWARENESS

BORIVLI-MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 4, 2013: The history of mankind testifies that Science is the only way towards progress. Science has solved numerous mysteries of nature and has dispelled many misconceptions. It gives us the heroic tale of Einstein, who derived the renowned equation, E=mc2 and the villainy of those who used it to invent atomic bombs. Nevertheless, it has laid the foundation for the countless breakthroughs in the field of medicine, which has made the world a healthier place to live in.

The enthusiastic and aspiring scientists from the Science Club at Don Bosco, Borivli spread awareness about how Science can be used for the betterment of mankind through a poster making competition on the 28th of October, 2013. The topics were extremely relevant to the circumstances in today's world. 

Environmental Issues were highlighted through some innovative posters which offered novel solutions. Some chose to emphasize on The Ill Effects of Using Nuclear Power - an endeavour to promote peace. In the wake of the outbreak of dangerous diseases like dengue in Mumbai, some thought it fitting to design posters spreading awareness about Diseases- Prevention and Cure.

It was a truly enlightening experience for all the participants who made an effort to spread awareness about the various problems we face. They resolved to be responsible citizens who would use Science for the up-liftment of mankind.
