NASHIK-MAHARASHTRA, NOVEMBER 8, 2013: General Counselor of the Salesian Society for the Youth Ministry, Fr Fabio 
Fr Fabio arrived at Divyadaan when the brothers were playing games. As soon as he reached the entrance, the brothers gathered around him to welcome him with a song. The joyous song and the handshakes that were exchanged served to create a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere in which Fr Fabio was made to feel welcomed. After which Fr Fabio had a meeting with all the perpetually professed Salesians of the three houses in Nashik: Don Bosco, Parish and School Community; Salesian Training Institute - Novitiate and Divyadaan – Salesian Institute of Philosophy.
He gave a conference to all the Salesians from the three mentioned houses including the temporary professed clerics and the novices. In his conference, he stressed on the role of God's love in the lives of the brothers and especially in their vocation. He also illustrated how Don Bosco acknowledged and lived out God's Agapeic love in his life. He ended the conference with a Hail Mary, placing the brothers in the hands of our Lady.
The conference was followed by a felicitation program by the brothers. A beautiful band piece entitled 'Nifty' was performed. The novices sang a song 'Live Jesus, Love Jesus' that was composed by their novice master, Fr Kenneth Pereira SDB. The Divyadaan brothers also put a dance 'Footsteps' with live music. The brothers from the North-Eastern provinces sang a song in Khasi language – a song of blessing 'synran їa I'. There was also a cake which was cut in his honour. A beautiful and heart touching address was read out by the brothers. Then Fr Fabio spoke a few words appreciating the items and the fraternal atmosphere reigning amongst the Salesians present. He was taken up by the music and said that a well developed taste of aesthetics will lead to a right ethics lived out in life. A lovely fellowship meal was shared by the Salesians. The day ended with a prayerful night prayer, thanking God for the day and especially for the presence of Fr Fabio.
The following morning, (6th Nov) Fr Fabio celebrated the Eucharist for the Communities. In his homily, he spoke about self love leading to love for the other. He emphasized the role of Love in the salvation of every person, quoting Matthew Chapter 25.
This short but enriching visit of Fr Fabio Attard was like a visit of Don Bosco to his Salesians in Nashik - A visit to encourage and to motivate. Truly, this visit of Fr Fabio has made an impression on the hearts of all the Salesians and also served to kindle the flame of love for God and the Young.
