BIS # 3756 GROMO 2013 CONCLUDES

LONAVALA-MAHARASHTRA, NOVEMBER 18, 2013: The Don Bosco Scouts and Guides Gromo 2013 entered its final day on November 14, also known as Children's Day. The Scouts and Guides rose early and had the Baden Powell's Six Exercises. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Cleophas Braganza, head of the Groups and Movements for Mumbai Province. At the same time, those belonging to other faiths had their Scout's Own, Scouts in front of the main stage while the Guides prayed in the down hall. The Rally then reported in front of their tent for the inspection after which there was the flag break. Sir John Swami gave the morning's message to the Rally.

After breakfast, the Rally reported on the Basketball court for a group snap. The concluding ceremony began in the Don Bosco Hall. The Don Bosco Scouts and Guides Troup animated a very meaningful Prayer Service. Mr. Bhaidas Nagarale, Maharashtra State Scout and Guides Chief Commissioner, Mr. A. T. Kale. Mr. Sonawane, Organising Secretary, Mrs. Darshana Pawaskar and Mr. Sudakar Tambe, Disctrict Commissioner for Scouts and Guides were the Guests of Honour among the many dignitaries. GROMO 2013 Awards were given for the various competitions that were held. Being Children's Day, there was a special magic show for the rally. Everyone enjoyed the magic and were awestruck with what they saw. Many Scouts and Guides came forward to showcase their many talents by performing short plays, songs, mimicry and dances.

The Rally then went to dismantle the tents and clear the camp site. Within half an hour the rally reported on the basketball court for the remaining part of the prize distribution and Vote of Thanks. Individual prizes were given for the Best Troop leader, Best Scout, Best Guide, Promising Scout and Promising Guide. A prize was given for the Upcoming Troop.

Don Bosco Nashik bagged the GROMO 2013 trophy for the Best Troop. The ceremony ended with giving thanks to all those who made Gromo 2013 possible and a great success. The Camp Co-ordinator Fr. Lorenzo D'Souza, and the Camp Chief Fr. Anthony Goyal were thanked for all the trouble taken by them to organize Gromo 2013.

Gromo 2013 ended on a happy note with everyone dancing to the tune of the DJ. Everyone carried wonderful memories with them of these adventurous and fun filled days as they returned to their places.
