by BIS correspondent

BORIVLI-MUMBAI, JANUARY 16, 2014: Don Bosco High School, Borivli, was pleased to have two of the three newly ordained priests, celebrate the Eucharist for the boys. On the occasion of the feast ofBlessed Joseph Vaz, Rev. Fr. Shekhar Das and Rev. Fr. Charlin Chandran along with the vocational promoter, Rev. Fr Osbourne Furtado joined in for the holy celebration.
Vocation is a call from God. It is a call that is unlike of any other vocation that is common and open to men.  According to the rite of ordination the priest is specially ordained to "stand in innocence before God's holy alter, to proclaim the gospel of his truth, to offer unto him spiritual gifts and sacrifices and to renew his people through the laver of generation."
Fr. Charlin, through his homily, emphasized the true meaning of a faithful Christian and urged the young minds to follow the same devoutly. Both the priests shared with the boys their personal experience of answering the call of the Lord and working in his vineyard.
All at Don Bosco Borivli, wish to congratulate the priests and also pray for their sacred mission ahead. May they experience the constant hand of the Almighty through all their endeavours.
