Wilfred, Mathew, Godfrey D'Sa, Allwyn, William Falcao, Solomon, Donald, Cleophas and Srs. Phyllis, Mary Cherian and quite a few Sisters present for the gathering.
Sr. Phyllis conducted a reflective Prayer Service. Fr. Vivian D'Souza the Provincial Delegate then welcomed the gathering. Fr. Mathew Coutinho, with the help of a Power Point presentation, spoke on the Strenna for 2014 given to us by the Rector Major.
The Past Pupils efforts paid off as Fr. Provincial launched the Website (www.dbmumbaialumni.in) of the Don Bosco Past Pupils. He also released the Salfam Directory for the Province. In his talk that followed he spoke on the Spirituality of Don Bosco, and exhorted all present to follow in the footsteps of our Father. Sr. Wilma, the FMA Provincial then addressed the gathering.
This was followed the cultural part of the program! The Kurla Unit of Past Pupils put up a breathtaking and intricate Rap dance that enthralled the gathering. A reflective skit on the vocation of the Salesian Cooperator, by the Borivli unit of Salesian Cooperators was appreciated by all. The Pune Past Pupils put up a solo song recital and got the audience to join in. The Wadala unit of the Cooperators enacted one of the dreams of Don Bosco, steering the Boat (Church) through the stormy seas, between two strong pillars: The Eucharist and Our Lady.
The Coordinator of the Cooperators, Mrs. Sharon D'Souza proposed a vote of thanks. A game of Housie got the group excited, before Sr. Phyllis said the Grace before meals and all partook of the delicious meal.
