WADALA-MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 7, 2014: The Parish of Our Lady of Dolours, Wadala, prepared for the Feast of St. John Bosco with well prepared and conducted Novenas, preached by the priests from the parish as well as the neighbouring parish.
The faithful attended the services in large numbers to pray for their intentions. The feast day mass was celebrated by Fr. Elson Barretto sdb, the Provincial Economer. There were a large number of parishioners, students and staff of St. Joseph’s High School participating in the well prepared Eucharist.
After the Eucharistic celebration, the congregation went in a procession to the assigned place between the Church and the School building, where Fr. Elson Barretto blessed the new 6 ft. Statue of Don Bosco with youth surrounding him. The location chosen is apt and the statue looks imposing and inviting.
A special thanks to Fr. Allwyn and his team for the hard work put in for erecting this beautiful statue in honour of Don Bosco.
