NERUL-MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 12, 2014: The Value Education Program for Class I-C was held on 6th February 2014 at Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul. The topic for the program was ‘Right to freedom of Religion’. The teacher in charge was Ms. Anita Wagh .The objective was to make the students aware about the importance of freedom of Religion in our live as well as the equality, brotherhood and unity among religions.
The program began with a prayer followed by the School Anthem. A skit, song and dance showed that, though there are different religions that follow different cultures, traditions, rituals and customs yet we are one and our god is one. The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks, by Ms. Anita Wagh followed by the Noon talk by Fr.Bonnie Borges, who emphasized Faith in god and respect for all religions.
Overall, the program was successful in creating awareness about religious equality. The message the class wanted to spread was ‘we all are one and we should not judge anyone on the basis of their caste, colour and way of worship’.
