BARODA-GUJARAT, FEBRUARY 14, 2014: It was a moment of pride for Ms. Jagruti Khaire, coordinator of the ‘Roshni Project’ at Don Bosco Baroda to receive the ‘best social worker award’ for services rendered towards running basti classes and self help groups for children and women, in and around Vadodara.
She was presented with the award on 8th February 2014 at Gandhi Gruha where over 1200 women had gathered to participate in a social recognition ceremony. Out of 120 women social workers present, 40 were honoured by the ruling government in Gujarat. The staff of ‘Roshni’ were present with Ms. Khaire in the hall as a source of further encouragement. The ‘Light’ lit by the founders of the Roshni Project is definitely illumining lives of many.
