BIS # 3924 FAITH CELEBRATION DAY

WADALA-MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 26, 2014: Don Bosco Youth Services organised Faith Celebration Day for the east zone of the North Mumbai Deanery at Auxilium Convent on 20th February 2014 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The schools that participated were St. Paul’s Boys’ School - Parel, St. Paul’s Convent - Parel, Auxilium High School - Wadala, St. Joseph’s High School - Wadala, and Don Bosco High School - Matunga.
The day began with a prayer moment conducted by Don Bosco High School. There was a ten-minute break to give the students time to prepare for their project. Each school then presented their project according to the topics that assigned, they were: Boy-Girl relationship, Environment, Small Christian Communities, Street Children, Careers. All the children performed well and brought out their respective messages wonderfully.
The presentations were followed by the Quiz. Mr. Angelo D’Cunha of St. Joseph’s High School conducted the quiz, which was based on the portion that is taught in school for the 9th standard students. The students were divided into seven groups and each group did their best to answer all the questions.
Following the quiz, Fr. Cleophas Braganza explained the importance of the Year of the Eucharist that the Archdiocese of Bombay is celebrating this year. Ms. Sheryl then presented the vote of thanks. She thanked all the people responsible for the success of the programme. The day ended with a prayer.
