MUMBAI-NERUL, MAY 8, 2014: Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca, the Principal of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul, can add one more feather to his cap, as he was appointed as an observer by the competent authority of CBSE Board, for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2014 held at the Army Institute of Technology, Pune. The Examination was conducted on April 6, 2014, from 9.30a.m to 12.30p.m.
The Examination, is a common entrance test, that is conducted, to test the eligibility of aspiring candidates, seeking admission, to undergraduate engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTs) in India. A total number of 815 students had appeared for the entrance exam and 42 invigilators were on duty at the examination centre. The main duty of Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca, as an Observer, was to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of examination, and also, to see that the rules with regard to conduct of the examination were strictly followed by the invigilators and centre superintendent.
The examination was conducted smoothly and peacefully, without report of any untoward incidents. Thus, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca was successful in fulfilling his duty as an observer and conducting one of the most prestigious entrance examinations.
