BIS # 4015 AQUA PURE WATER PROJECT AT MATUNGA

MATUNGA-MUMBAI, JULY 2, 2014: The Don Bosco Matunga Alumni students of the 1969 batch donated the Aqua Pure Water Project for the school of Don Bosco High School, Matunga which would benefit nearly 3,500 children by drinking pure water in the school premises.

The CEO of Eureka Forbes, A. V. Suresh, President International Operations an alumni of Don Bosco Chennai having installed the whole project for the school promised that the company of Eureka Forbes would commit itself to provide clean drinking water for the school children for the next ten years and would also initiate a project in collaboration with the school for water harvesting and water recycling, the first of its kind when completed for the school in India.

Jayesh Chandan the President of Don Bosco Alumni past Pupils Unit, Matunga said in an
interview at Don Bosco Matunga, "What we are trying to do is catalyze change by exploring and promoting the development of new interventions and new models for the school of Don Bosco Matunga through the Don Bosco Matunga Alumni Past Pupils Unit." 

It was a great achievement for batch to meet after nearly forty three years and nearly sixty five students met and committed themselves to give generously to the school who had nurtured them to be what they have become.  They decided to give the most essential commodity for living a healthy life 'A Clean Drinking Water Purification System' for the school.


Fr. Bosco D'Mello inaugurated the plaque of the "Aqua Pure Water System"  donated by the batch of 1969 and thanked the immense
generosity and good will of the Past Pupils.  Fr. Wilfred D'souza, Rector of the Don Bosco High School and In-Charge of the Don Bosco Alumni Past Pupils Association encouraged the Past Pupils to join the great movement of Don Bosco.  He appreciated the generosity of the batch of 1969 and then inaugurated and blessed the Aqua Pure Water System and prayed for their family members.
