BHINGAR-AHMEDNAGAR, JULY 4, 2014: The serene and idyllic settings of peace exploded with life and freedom on June 28, 2014 as the parishioners of bhingar celebrated the feast of their patron, St John the Baptist. The celebration began with a procession from the residence of the Priest to the main Church at 4.30 pm. The statue of the Infant Jesus was installed in shrine in front of the church.
The Bishop of Nashik, Rev. Lourdes Daniel celebrated the Eucharist which was animated by the parish council. He was honoured with a shawl and a coconut and the twenty concelebrants were given roses. A cultural program, showcasing the talents of the children and youth of the parish, followed. Eight stalls were set up in the campus. Fifty religious shared an agape meal together with Frs Nelson and Bento, the steward and caretaker of the Bhingar parish. The people went home assured of the blessing of the patron St. John the Baptist.
