BORIVLI – MUMBAI, JULY 9, 2014: The boys of the Yellow House of the Secondary Section in Don Bosco High School, Borivli, staged two wonderful assemblies on July 2, 2014. The highlight of the day was a reflection on the life of St. Dominic Savio - the young teenage boy, who desired to become a saint. Movie clips based on his life enabled the students to get a closer and personal look at the saint's life, whose exemplary qualities of virtue, faith, courage and inner strength, every young lad in a Salesian institution should aim to imitate. An interesting novel element in the High School programme was the tribute that was paid to St.Dominic Savio through a dance.
The programmes were also focussed on the lives of two exceptional personalities - JRD Tata for the Higher Secondary and Rajendra Pachauri for the Middle School. The good qualities, leadership skills and achievements of JRD Tata were aptly illustrated through a skit, a PowerPoint presentation and a video. The students of the Middle School were inspired by Justice Pachauri's 'Go Green' Mission. They were also presented with many easy and practical tips to help them follow in his footsteps and be more concerned about the environment.
