BIS # 4033 PRESENTING MAHATMA’S MISSION

MATUNGA-MUMBAI, JULY 18, 2014: The students of division B of class seven of Don Bosco High School, Matunga presented a programme on the life of Mahatma Gandhi by depicting noteworthy instances on July 15, 2014. They focused on his fight for civil rights and freedom.

They highlighted the racial discrimination and prejudice that the Father of Our Nation faced during his tenure as a barrister in South Africa. It stressed on his method of using non-violent means to fight injustice. The assembly concluded with the singing of 'Sabarmati ke sant.

'"One could acheive success if one learnt to forgive and remain noble" was the message presented by the students.It was also made known that the assemblies during the academic year would be based on the theme" Born for a mission" commemorating the bicentenary of Don Bosco's birth.
