AHMEDNAGAR-MAHARASHTRA, JULY 24, 2014: On July 20, 2014 the three youth groups (Std. 10th & above): Friends of Don Bosco (meant for working youth), Friends of Dominic Savio (meant 
for studying boys) and Friends of Laura Vicuna (studying girls) of St. Anne's parish had a joint programme that had "Don Bosco's life for YOU(th)" as its theme. The event received a phenomenal response as 108 youth participated in the same.
Even though the official launching of the bicentenary celebrations of the birth of Don Bosco begins from August 16, 2014; yet the preparations for this celebration were already launched a month in advance – on July 16, 2014. The theme they focussed on was "Journeying with the young in the Bosco Way". on The members of the group 'Friends of Laura Vicuna' took their oath on July 16, 2014. This group existed for last two years but this time it was revived with 35 new members joining the group.
The programme began around the Eucharistic table with Fr. Thomas D'costa as the principal celebrant and thereafter a small session enumerating the life of Don Bosco was conducted. The youth enjoyed the programme and went away home enriched and refreshed.
