LONAVLA-PUNE, JULY 29, 2014: Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai held a science exhibition on the Don Bosco Lonavla ground on July 25 and 26, 2014. All the students of the school and junior college got an opportunity to pay a visit to the exhibition. The exhibition was an initiative of the Physics teacher, Mr. Chatterji.
The Nehru Science Centre had displayed all their artefacts in a specially-designed bus. The bus had twenty models based on Astrology. Some of these models were: Aryabhatt's sundial, eclipse (solar and lunar), solar system, distance of the planets, number of satellites, spectrum etc. The students of Std. XI (Science stream) briefed all the other students on the models. The students were also shown a clipping on the life and works of the Indo-American astronaut Sunita William. The students expressed that they learnt a great deal from this exhibition.
