BIS # 4075 SVP’S OF ST. ANNE’S SCHOOL ORGANIZE A ‘REACH-OUT’ PROJECT

by Prof. Kiran Shelke

AHMEDNAGAR –MAHARASHTRA, AUGUST 10, 2014: Under the able guidance of Fr. Rolvin D'mello, the SVP (St. Vincent de Paul) group of St. Anne's Church launched a school 'Reach Out' project on August 10, 2014. The motto of the project was: "Whatever you do to the least of my brothers you do unto me." The project focused on reaching out to seventy deserving school kids across the city of Ahmednagar.

The aim of this project was to provide these students with all the school stationery they would require for the academic year. Their appeal for help brought forward many generous benefactors, while the SVP group also organized canteens after Sunday mass to raise funds. The students were given the stationery that they would need: notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, compass boxes, sketch-pen sets, writing pads and a number of other essential things.

The project was blessed and launched by Fr. Thomas D'costa who on behalf of the entire parish thanked and congratulated Fr. Rolvin and his team for this innovative and wonderful work. The joy that was seen in the eyes of the students when they received these study material hampers was beyond compare and it was a sign of the success of the project.
