SHRIRAMPUR-AHMEDNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 1, 2014: Sessions on Inculturation, Evangelization and Inter Religious dialogue were conducted by Dr Fr. Nelson Falcao, sdb Ph.D on August 23, from 10:00 a.m- 6:00 p.m for a group of thirty students of Theology, at Loyola Divyavani, Shrirampur. This session was part of the process of imparting theology to adults in the Nashik Diocese, a programme launched by the Jesuits of Loyola Divyawani.
Classes are conducted every second weekend of the month and the entire course extends for a period of ten months. There is lot of enthusiasm among the people to learn theology and master the Bible. The students ask questions and voice issues. The pre Vatican stance of "No salvation without Christ" that was much prevalent among the people was presented. The new position of "every religion leads people to God the Father, possessing a ray of light and a speck of hope" was spoken of.
It was stated,"Even those outside the Catholic circumscription are saved by the benevolence of God's unearned and unconditional Grace." The session ended with a newly composed Kirtan on the 'Samaritan Woman'. As the theme of light was being sung, a flash flood covered the area with a deluge of rain.
