NERUL-MUMBAI, SEPTEMBER 3, 2014: An Inter-school quiz competition was organized by the Rotary Club of New Bombay Seaside, on August 10, 2014 at Apeejay School, Nerul. The 
competition had two categories: Written and Oral. Don Bosco, Nerul emerged as the first runners up in the quiz competition.
About fifteen schools participated in the first round of competition, of which, only three schools were to be shortlisted for the final round in the oral category. Don Bosco Sr. Secondary school, stood first with highest qualifying score in the first round. The final oral round consisted of four sub-rounds; General Knowledge (Restricted to knowledge on India), IQ – a buzzer round, General Knowledge – Open (National + International) and Picture Recognition (National & International).
There was a tough competition between Apeejay School, Nerul, Apeejay School, Kharghar and Don Bosco School, Nerul. Don Bosco School, Nerul managed to answer and position themselves at the second place. The intellectual stars of Don Bosco Sr. Secondary School, were Aaryan Hebbalkar (VII C), Gopikrishnan Menon (VIII C), Naresh Balamurgan (IX A). They were trained by Tr. Muriel Fernandes and her team, under the guidance of the Principal, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca.
