BIS # 4147 CELEBRATING THE 164TH ANNIVERSARY OF ST. JOHN'S, BHINGAR

BHINGAR-AHMEDNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 24, 2014: St John Baptist Church, Bhingar celebrated the 164th  anniversary of its foundation's on September 21, 2014 with a well animated Eucharist and a dance festival. The principal celebrant was Fr. Ramesh Tribhuvan, SJ assisted by Fr. Siji Varghese, SJ and Fr. Nelson, the Parish priest and Fr. Bento. The celebration began with a prayer dance and entry into the Church of the altar servers and Celebrants.


The faithful participated whole heartedly in the liturgical celebration as the Parish council animated the function with the introduction, prayer of the faithful, offering of gifts and thanksgiving prayer. The Junior youth choir beautifully sang and kept the service lively with a set of well-planned hymns. After communion, four air condition mechanics, youth of our parish, who completed four months of training at Don Bosco Karjat gave their testimony and expressed their plans for the future. After the mass, minority commission officials spoke and gave valuable information to the people.


After the church event, cake and tea was served to all. Four dancers of Victor Dance troupe gave a hip- hop dance performance. A few children from the parish also danced for the assembled crowd. All in all, the people left feeling grateful to God for the gift of the 164 year old church, parish and institution of St John the Baptist, Bhingar, that has been the vineyard of the Lord's blessings.
