BIS # 4158 DON BOSCO’S UNDERSTANDING OF AN EDUCATOR’S PRESENCE

NERUL-MUMBAI, SEPTEMBER 30, 2014: The students of standard V A, of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul organized an assembly on September 23, 2014 in the ground floor assembly hall, with the theme "DON BOSCO'S UNDERSTANDING OF AN EDUCATORS PRESENCE." Thirty-seven out of forty students in class participated in the programme. The Class was supervised by their class teacher, Parul Saxena. The assembly began at 1:00 p.m. The chief guests for the programme were Rev. Father Bonnie Borges, Rev. Father Anthony Fonseca and the Supervisiors Madam Adarsh and Poonam.

The entire primary section assembled in the assembly hall at 12:40 p.m. and the programme began with the School Prayer followed by the School Anthem. The Chief Guests and the assembly were then welcomed.
Thereafter, a skit depicting Don Bosco's Idea of an Educator was presented. The skit portrayed a newly appointed teacher who was helped by his senior teachers of the school by giving him awareness about 'Educational methodology of Don Bosco.' A scene from the staff room of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School was also depicted.

The students, understanding the importance of presence of a teacher in their lives, performed a dance and a group song dedicated to all their lovely teachers. Teacher Parul Saxena, then expressed her gratitude to one and all for making this programme a success. Teacher Mamta enlightened the minds of the students by her noon talk during which she spoke to them about a very renowned teacher, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Finally, the principal and supervisior Adarsh Maam came to the stage to express their opinion about the programme, congratulating the students of class V A for presenting a wonderful programme on the topic "Don Bosco's understanding of an Educator's presence".
