LONAVLA-PUNE, OCTOBER 6, 2014: Don Bosco Aspirantate, Lonavla celebrated the feast of the Guardian Angels on October 2, 2014. The Apostolic boys and Aspirants felicitated the Brother Assistants on this day.
The brothers were not allowed to assist during the day. The boys of std. XII took up the task of assisting during various times. In the afternoon at 2.00 p.m. the Sodalities felicitated their respective Brother Assistant. The felicitation began with procession of the brothers from the brothers' room to the hall. The boys showed their love for the brothers with songs, dances, address and video presentations. They presented the brothers with cards and gifts.
They expressed their love and support to the brothers and thanked them for their care and dedication in looking after them. The brothers thanked their respective groups for the beautiful programme. Bro. Bryce Fernandes told his boys, "If you are capable of something and you try it you will achieve success and you will know yourself." Cl. Clarence Martis expressed his heartfelt thanks to his boys and told them that they too must gear up to become Guardian Angels in the future.
The Community Eucharist was celebrated at 7.00 p.m. The boys animated the Eucharist beautifully. They prayed especially for the Brothers and for their intentions. Fr. Gregory D'cunha, the main celebrant, in his homily, spoke of the belief in Guardian Angels and also said, "Our angels are constantly among us, protecting us." The Eucharist was a fitting end to the celebrations of the day.
