BIS # 4222 AWARENESS PROGRAMME FOR WOMEN ORGANIZED AT WALUJ

WALUJ-AURANGABAD, NOVEMBER 11, 2014: On November 8, 2014 forty-four women of Gangapur taluka, Aurangabad participated in a workshop that was geared towards understanding and utilizing the various government schemes available for rural women at Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra, Waluj, Aurangabad. 

Mr. Ashok Pardhe from Rahata – Ahmednagar, appointed by the government to make these schemes known to rural women, himself came over to explain and dispel the doubts and apprehensions of the rural women with regard to the various available schemes.  In the three hours workshop, besides explaining the government schemes, Mr. Pardhe also gave examples of womens' groups in certain villages who overcame stiff obstacles and were reaping rich benefits for themselves and their womens' groups. 

Besides the womens' groups of BGVK- Waluj, those under the guidance of the religious sisters of Nirmala Niketan-Vaijapur and Holy Cross Sisters -Monda Naka also participated in this programme.This awareness programme was an eye opener for many women and social workers. The women are now working towards helping rural women improve their lives and living conditions in their respective villages.
