NASHIK-MAHARASHTRA, JANUARY 5, 2015: The New Year bash in Nashik began with the Salesian Family Get-Together in the evening at Don Bosco Bhavan. The fathers, sisters and brothers of the Salesian communities in Nashik participated in the event. The organizers for the same were Cls. Bosco and Michael, Srs. Jyothi and Shaila (the Assistants of the Salesian communities).
The evening marked with joy, fun and laughter was an expression of the joy of togetherness that exists in the Salesian family . The participants were divided into eight teams bearing the names of various beatified Salesians viz. Rua, Zatti, Kawalski, Alexandria, Vicuna, Namancura, Czartyoski and Palomino. The organizers introduced everyone into the gathering with a short prayer service and a dance to the tune of "What man Santa..." Lively party games, Christmas Ads, group dance etc. made the event memorable. Being in the Christmas season, most of the games were centred around Christmas themes.
The well prepared games and the efficient animation by the organizers kept high the enthusiasm of everyone till the last moment. Cl. Joyston thanked the organizers on behalf of all the participants. Fr Kenneth, the novice-master, during the good night praised the love and family spirit that exist among the various communities of the Salesian family. "This event was a sign of our joyful togetherness and we must continue to be the same by appreciating the presence of each other," said Fr. Kenneth.
