BIS # 4331 NEWLY ORDAINED VISIT DON BOSCO, NERUL

NERUL-MUMBAI, JANUARY 23, 2015: Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul was privileged to have Fr. Kiran Salve and Fr. Johnson Kshirsagar, the newly ordained priests, along with Fr. Shekhar Das, Fr. Cleophas Braganza and
Fr. McEnroe Lopes amidst them on January 13, 2015.

The priests conducted Value Education Sessions for the Non Catholic students of Classes VII to IX in various classrooms. Interesting games, puzzles, videos and stories were used to foster values such as courage, nonviolence, patience and respect for each other. The students found the sessions thought provoking and inspiring.

A lively and enriching interactive session was also conducted for the Catholic students of Classes VII to IX in the assembly hall from 8:00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. The important aspects of catholic faith were discussed. The new priests also shared their vocation stories. Their testimonies helped the students to reflect on their sense of purpose and vocation.

The day ended with the priests celebrating the Eucharist for the Catholic students and teachers of the school. Fr. Kiran was the main celebrant while Fr. Johnson preached the homily. Fr. McEnroe Lopes, Fr. Cleophas Braganza, Fr. Bonnie Borges (Manager) and Fr. Anthony Fonseca (Principal) were the concelebrants.

They offered the Eucharist for the aspirations of all the students. The choir sang hymns beautifully and enlivened the liturgy. After the final hymn, the new priests were congratulated by the Manager, Fr. Bonnie Borges. Fr. Kiran and Fr. Johnson then thanked the Management for inviting them to Don Bosco. The students and all those present were then invited to kiss the anointed hands of the newly ordained priests. The day ended with the students understanding the importance of values in the current scenario. It also provided them with a wonderful opportunity to rediscover the beauty of the faith that they profess.
