BIS # 4344 CELEBRATION OF THE 66TH REPUBLIC DAY AT DB, BORIVLI

by Rossi D'souza

BORIVLI-MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 2, 2015: The Don Bosco Educational Complex, Borivli celebrated India's 66th Republic Day on January 26, 2015. The programme was presided over by our Rector Rev. Fr. William Falcao as the Chief Guest, who in his inaugural speech spoke about the need to invoke the feeling of patriotism in our youth today and the need to rouse the fire of "Indianness" in each of us.

A skit on 'The Call to Harmony and Peace' propagated the message loud and clear. A tap dance set the mood for the day. But what caught the attention of everyone present there were the colorful flags that were placed to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth of Don Bosco. The ambience created was truly pertinent and ideal for the occasion. The student and the teachers left the venue with a renewed feeling of patriotism.
