BHINGAR-AHMEDNAGAR, FEBRUARY 26, 2015: On Sunday, February 22, 2015 Dr. Eknath S. Patole, Ph. D, spoke to the parishioners of St. John Baptist Church, Bhingar on 'The duty 
and privilege of belonging to the family and the church' from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
He presented a PowerPoint presentation screening the feelings that the national church has on the current situations in India. Having attended the recent (Conference of Catholic Bishops of India)CCBI meeting, at Bengaluru, he gave us an over view of what it meant to belong to the local church as an involved participating Catholic, quoting from encyclicals and documents of the recent Popes, the Bible and the social teachings of the Church.
After a short break, a group discussion followed and the groups actively responded to show that they understand what their role in the church should be. Some of them even asked the speaker their own queries and doubts. Mrs. Shobha Patole introduced the speaker and compered the programme. Mr Solomon Gaikwad gave a vote of thanks. The Parish Priest, Fr. Nelson Falcao, thanked all those involved in planning, executing, inviting people and those who attended the event. A short felicitation programme followed. The people were attentive to the the speakers talk.
