WADALA-MUMBAI, MARCH 12, 2015: On March 7, 2015 the parish youth of St. Dominic Savio Parish Wadala (E) organized a Night vigil as part of Parish Lenten mission. A well planned and executed vigil helped the parishioners to spend a quality time in the presence of the Lord.
Two preachers, Fr. Cleophas Braganza SDB and Fr. Maria Anthony helped the people to reflect on Word of God and having a meaningful celebration of Lent, with their powerful preaching. The two Gospel bands The Assorted and Echoes of Zion, made the worship vibrant right from the start. Their presence brought a lot of liveliness and helped people to pray.
During the vigil 'Jesus bringing redemption through the Cross' was symbolically inacted by people who came one after another and nailing the cross as a sign of Jesus taking away our sins by dying on the cross and bringing redemption.
A moment was dedicated to remember and pray for all Christians especially those in India who were persecuted. During this time the people lighted candles on the map of India while a song of peace was sung. The parishioners expressed a deep sense of appreciation and gratitude for this very innovative Night Vigil.
