MUMBAI, JUNE19, 2015: The Management and staff of Don Bosco High School, Matunga participated in two seminars to help them better manage students with learning difficulties and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Father Edison Fernandes made staff aware of Myers-Briggs Personality Typing, which will help them cater to the needs of a large body of students, with a wide range of learning styles and potentials. This new knowledge equipped teachers with the confidence to usher in a new academic year.
Myers-Briggs used in vocational, educational and psychotherapy settings, is a widely used personality test, to evaluate personality type.
Niru Chheda, from the Mayurpankh Counselling Centre, spoke on the dynamic role of a teacher in educating a child. She stressed that teachers need to work in tandem with students and parents to help them deal with ADHD and learning difficulties.
This new knowledge equipped teachers with the confidence to usher in a new academic year.
