AHMEDNAGAR, June 24, 2015: Don Bosco English Medium School Savedi, Ahmednagar welcomed children for the new academic year, firmly focused on its vision to help them face the challenges of a materialistic and competitive world.

Teachers - of the pre-primary section - greeted their toddlers on June 8 with sweets, toys and by singing action songs. Auneet Kaur, Neha Motwani, Versha Kadam and Angel Swami were instrumental in organising activities.

Children from the primary section took part in a prayer service on June 15. The new management was welcomed on June 16 and each member was given a shawl and bouquet.

Students- new to the institution- were given a flower each by their class teachers, as a gesture of welcoming them to the Don Bosco family.

Father Vishwas Pereira, the rector advised the students to study diligently, to  live up to the school motto, 'Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow.'

The teachers were highly charged following their two-day orientation before school could reopen. Around 40 teachers from - Don Bosco  English Medium School, Don Bosco Marathi Primary School, Don Bosco Vidhalaya and Junior College  - attended sessions on motivation, hardwork, goal setting and time management.

On day two, they touched upon topics like smart techniques of learning, group dynamics and problem solving. Their interactive training sessions have inspired the teachers, to replicate the same model in their classrooms.
