KUWAIT, JULY 1: The young and the old alike joined forces to participate in the annual Don Bosco Ramadan sports mania held at the Indian English Academy School, Kuwait on June 25.
The event is open to participants of mainly the Indian community, but two participants from other nationalities are permitted to enroll in team sports as well.
Rink hockey, box cricket, rink football, table tennis and carom are amongst the sports on offer during the event, now in its eleventh edition.
Participants and spectators- in this special Bicentenary year of Don Bosco- will be treated to spot prizes and gift vouchers for their participation.
Organisers, this year, named the box cricket tournament in memory of late Father Francis Kharjia, who passed away in June this year.
Father Francisco Pereira welcomed all participants at the onset and observed a minute's silence in memory of Father Kharjia.
